MOHAMED BEN-MADANI FRSA, Editor and founder
of The Maghreb Review (1976) covering North Africa, Middle East,
Africa and Islamic studies. He advises companies, educational institutions
and the media on Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Mauritania. He
is also a regular broadcaster for the BBC, Vatican Radio, Al Jazeera, CBC, France 24
and the world media. He has organised over 30 international conferences in Britain and Europe – the latest was on
“Colonial Heritage in the Middle East and the Maghreb: the Shaping of Hopes and Perspectives”,
Mansfield College, Oxford 24-25 June 2013 – covering all aspects of the Maghreb, Islamic studies
and the Mediterranean area. Papers presented at these conferences have been published in The Maghreb Review.
